Facing foreclosure is, to put it simply, terrifying. It oftentimes involves a profound sense of personal failure and, because homes are sold as the “American Dream”, it sometimes means that people feel as if their dreams have been defeated. None of these feelings are grounded in any logical assessment of the situation.
