It is reported in the media that for the half-year ended 30th June 2010, the number of foreclosure filings – which includes default notices issued by lending banks and institutions on delinquent borrowers; scheduled foreclosure sale public auctions and bank repossessions in the country – stood at 1,961,894 U.S. homes. During the first half of this year, one in 78 U.S. homes has fallen into the foreclosure trap.
